Diani beach, Galu, Kinondo and Tiwi Beach

A busy, 12km tarmac beach road runs along the coast behind the beachfront properties, eventually reverting to gravel just north of Pinewood Beach Resort, where Diani Beach actually becomes Galu Beach, and finally turning into a narrow track through the bush when it reaches Kinondo Beach. Competition for beachfront space among dozens of properties (though they are not by any means crowded in international terms) means there’s a real mix of resort-style hotels, mid-sized hotels and guesthouses, Villas and Cottages.

All the hotels offer a wide array of activities such as diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, water-skiing, buggy rides and much more. The bay is protected by a reef and offers safe swimming for the whole family. There are many excellent dive spots where you can see turtles, dolphins and may colorful corals and tropical fish.

Once you have had your fill of the surf, you can spend some time on the turf – enjoying a round of golf at the 18-hole championship golf course. Go for a walk in the beautiful forests which are home to baboons and Black and White Colobus Monkeys, as well as many species of birds. Another great idea is to hire a bike and explore along the coastline taking in the beautiful scenery
